I was ready to paint my Corvette calipers… until I found TPS in California.
They would take my calipers and powder coat them for durability with a minimum of 2 coats and then a rebuilding process that includes replacing all seals, boots, completely rebuilt to original specs. When I received them, I was amazed…. The color was a beautiful “cherry red” and looked brand new.
If you haven't already done so, now is the time to replace the flex hoses with stainless metallic hoses and do a complete fluid flush using a good quality DOT3 brake fluid. DOT4 wold be agood fluid to use especially if you are hard on the brakes. I use ATE TYP200 and it works great.
What condition are the pads in? Any sign of excessive wear on the rotors? Easy to replace these parts given that the calipers are off the car.
