So I'm considering a purchase of this 2002 vert. it's has an automatic transmission. it doesn't seem to have the power that my 01 coupe 6 speed manual has... Is this odd or is it a normal feeling between the 2...
I have a 01 Vert and top end out the yeang-yange but like was mentioned sluggish from jump street
great gas millage, runs right around 1100 rpm between 55 and 60 so little stress on engine
taking it in tomorrow to get a new rear diff installed (373)
now I can have some fun
I've always had to convince myself "it's a cruiser not a racer" now I won't
my opinion is that unless your going to race the car, a vert is the true corvette experience (jmo)
The strange thing is--the 2.73/auto has lower overall gearing than the 3.42/6 speed manual when the 2.73 has the torque converter locked up. In top gear.
