Default Mass Air Flow Sensor

Sir: What's the best route to go, Clean Sensor or replace? On a 2004 C5 250 hp. LS-1.

Cleaning is simple:
1, Disconnect battery
2. Disassemble intake and remove MAF (**be careful to not touch or bend the thin wires**)
3. Using electrical contact cleaner (or MAF cleaner) spray down the wires and internal bore.
4. Keeping wires wet spray onto a Q-tip and very carefully wipe any dirt or fibers off the wires. (both side)
5. Once its as clean as new reassemble intake
6. Turn headlights on and then off (this clears any flash memory that might be stored)
7. Reconnect battery
8. Turn ignition on but don't start engine. Push throttle to the floor twice. (you can either start engine or turn key off.. doesn't matter)
9. Now your done and the car is ready for use. (it will through different conditions re-learn MAF limits and relearn idle.. but should be invisible to you)
