The top end is behind the battery. If you remove the access plate in the passengers side wheel well area you'll have access to its lower end.

Sure. There is only one udder on the passenger side and it's behind the battery. I've always just taken out the battery to get to it but I think you can get to it from the bottom.

Can you please explain to me what you mean about 'first day trip of year", is this something that helps in the rain, a drain maybe? Is there one on the driver's side too? Thanks a lot, Dave

There are 4 udders in a C5. One is behind the battery and three are on the drivers side. The driver's side three are easy to get to if ya got small hands. They are drains and sometimes get filled with small leaves and such. If they get plugged, they can ruin the windshield wiper motor. I'm just careful where I park and I've never had a plugged udder.
