For those of you who were interested in this thread it looks like the buyer never took it (big surprise). The car has since been relisted, and this time without being deceptive. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1874632131
I am surprised that neither the seller nor bidder gave each other negative feedback. These kind of *tricky* auctions are what is wrong with the ebay format. Don't get me wrong, I love it and have been using it for years with no problems but for those that either aren't carefull or don't know better it can be a very bad experience. Reminds me of the time a friend of mine listed copper impressions of Abraham Lincoln for a dollar each. He some people actualy bid but later retracted once they realized they were merely bidding on a penny.
An uneducated consumer is easy pickings for a less than proffessional dealer. There are "sharks" in every business, just glad that the good guys outnumber them. I stick with forums venders. Bill
Bill, I don't know about you and with all due respect to the forum dealers, but I don't think the good guys outnumber the sharks in the car business. Those places have a liscence to print money and when there is that much money to be made, people are hardly ever nice!!!!!!!!
