Dennis Hemmerly, the owner, is a good friend of mine. He freshened up the LT5 and a bunch of other mods in my 1990 ZR-1, back in 1998, and did a great job. He's a heckuva engine builder.
He's freshening up a supercharged LS6, in a 2003 C5Z, at the shop now. I would recommend him, highly.
I went to those guys probably 20 years ago with my '90 ZR-1. They replaced a cam chain tensioner due to the infamous start up rattle, and I had them install new tires while they had it. When I picked it up, 3 out of 4 rims were scratched. When I noted that to them they said they farm out the tire installs, and I would need to take it up with that shop if I thought it was a problem. While driving it home, I started to smell smoke. I pulled over and popped the hood. I found a shop rag they left behind that was about to catch fire from the exhaust manifold. I'd heard they were the best, which is why I went to them, but frankly they were pretty flip about the whole thing.
