Default Phone Holder

Well my wife bought me a Weather Tech cup phone holder. Just so everybody knows it does fit the corvette cup holder. I removed the rubber insert out of the corvette cup holder and stuck some industrial strength Velcro from Wal Mart in its place and also applied some of the Velcro to the lid area of the corvette cup holder. It holds the phone very well. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it holds the phone in place even under hard acceleration.

Hmmnn. I've seen threads about this cup holder and been told it doesn't work with the C5 because of the cup holder door. I guess they were wrong.
Thanks for the review. I need one as I use my phone as my navigation.

I bought something similar and I loved it, but it fell off once we started getting 90+ weather down here. Need to try again and see if I can get it to stick better.

I have one that clips onto the vent. It works great, and it’s nice and high, so I can use it with the map apps.

When you do this the cup phone holder comes with multiple bushings to adjust for the cup holder size. You want to remove all of them except for 1. This will give you a good snug fit with just enough room for your Velcro which should go on the bottom and on the side of the cup holder lid. By leaving one of the bushings on the cup phone holder it will allow you to rotate the phone. I just received my vettenuts double din bezel and once I get it in I will do a small video of exactly how to put the Velcro in for the best hold. Without the Velcro t is to top heavy. But with the Velcro it holds very good and is very stable.

Here is a picture with the phone in the holder

You get a much better sense of how it fits with the phone in it.

Not in the way when you shift into reverse?

By leaving a bushinging on the phone holder it allows for the holder to swivel. No problem going into reverse.
