I just removed Borla s type and replaced with Magnaflow. I also installed headers and new xpipe. The Magnaflow is just right. It is a deeper sound than the Borlas were. The Borlas did sound good just not quite the sound I was looking for..

I liked my Corsa Indy Pace Cars (now called the Sport) on my last C5.

Very subjective and they all have their unique sounds. Put on some headphones and listen to all you can on youtube. Stock Z06 Ti is nice and subtle. I'm not running Magnaflow and it sounds good to me and doesn't break the bank either.

It's not that loud but rumbles well when you're on it. I also have 0 drone on the highway with it. All total I have just shy of $2000 in my exhaust. The Axle back was $645, or you could spend $1200 on the quad tips.

Couple of questions for you. Could you confirm the part number on your Borlas and do you have auto or manual transmission.
I think you have the #140017's but it is my understanding that they will drone with an M6 at around 1200 rpms. Not trying to dispute what you are saying - just tryng to confirm 100% if the newer Borlas at this price point are drone free. Reason being - I had some Borlas that were made in about 2010 (came with my C5) and the drone was horrible - I sold them. I do not know for sure what the part number was. I would like to get a little more aggressive exhaust now, $650 is reasonable but not willing to spend $1500 on Corsa sports...

Thanks!

I indeed have the 140017's. I have an auto, so at 75 with 3.15s I'm a little over 2000 rpm. I will agree that 11-1400 is the drone range for them. Low rpm acceleration does drone, so they might not be as good for a M6 as they are for me. I will say that they drone a lot less than the Borla exhaust I had on my 4th gen firebird. Their newer stuff seems a little different.

I've owned Corvette C5s with the following exhausts: stock with "exhaust mod", ZO6 Ti, Billy Boat PRT, Borla S-Type II, and Borla ATAK. My advice is to get the Borla ATAK. There is no drone. If you want something a little quieter, my second choice is the Borla S-Type II. No drone with them, either. In my opinion, the Borla ATAK is a better choice that the Borla Stingers.

This may be where I am headed.. If only they did not cost so $$$$$. Maybe a good used set nearby will pop up?

I have stainless works exhaust. Long tube headers free flo cats. Best sounding exhaust period.

I have read, from postings here, that the corsa line is Gm approved, because the line has no drone, after extensive testing.

My used car was set up to be a shop car for Xcross and has an axle back magniflow four tip . Looks nice, high quality finish. A little load for my tastes, but worth it for the very slightly improved efficiency, still neighborhood approved, not a Ricky racer sound. Andy Granitelli pitched for magniflow at one time, I think the quote was that it sounds just right

I called the magniflow sales rep to see if he would recommend a good shop to weld a cracked bracket, since he visited all the magniflow shops. although I was not the original owner, he said it would fine to oder a new set, use the warrantee card for repairs to my used set, and return the new stuff, no problem. he said all I needed was a warrantee card, that is why the buy and return of the new part.

I was impressed at the offered customer service. I thought it a little abusive financially for a dinky weld, so didn't take him up on the offer, but good to know they have such strong satisfaction policies.

one reason I threw in Andy granatelli's name , was not to add credibility, but to mention he had a turbine C5 street car, not just turbine indy cars. My brother saw the turbine car on the street and followed it to a parking lot. The driver said it was too fast, said you drove the car only with the brake pedal.

after reading a long discussion here, I went out and checked for drone in my 03 convertible, because I had never heard any. With great care I searched the Rpm range , slowly looking for drone while sitting in neutral. I found it, a resonance frequency down below 2000 rpm. It was such a narrow rpm area, that if the tach needle moved at all , the harmonics vanished. I had found a drone, but also understood why I had never heard it before. I shifted right through that RPM area, probably before the resonance got enough energy to make noise, and I mostly drive with the top down, so no way to capture the acoustic energy.
