On my C5 ever since I bought it the Targa top has like a knocking noise whenever I hit a bump in the road or enter a rough road. Its coming from above my head on the first lever that clips onto the car. Not sure what it is. Don't see anything loose. Anybody else have this problem?

It's a fairly common issue as the seals and mounting points wear in over time. Google for 'C5 targa top adjustment' and you'll find the instructions.

You can adjust the latches on the top to get a tighter fit. You also might try putting some dielectric grease on the weatherstripping to make the rubber more pliable.
Mine gets in moods where it likes to rattle sometimes. Once it sounded straight up like a wasp was in my car, and I had a small panic attack. Recently it started making an occasional squeak, like squelching wet shoes on a hard surface. Sometimes reseating it helps, sometimes not. Maybe I should look into adjusting it.

VJ has the answer! Make sure latch bolts are tight and use dielectric grease on ALL the rubber parts, this usually works til you need to grease again.
