Default Wind Restrictor

Hi all.
our C6 was a coupe, so this is the Mrs. first experience with a convertible. She asked if there was anything we could do about the wind, so I ordered a Wind Restrictor. It has been sitting on my workbench for a couple weeks now, and I keep staring at it wondering how I feel about it. I held the lexan piece in place, and before I cut the carpet wanted to ask for input from the group of owners who have installed this mod. I am 6’ and relatively broad in the shoulders. Does the lexan piece intrude into the passenger compartment to a degree that it would be something that you would bump in
to as you shifted or turned in the seat? Does it affect clear use of the rear view mirror in any way?
comments or suggestions welcome!

i have the lexan wind restrictor and love it. You can have a normal conversation at 70 mph with the top down. No problem with mirror or anything else for that matter. Ive had verts for years and have always used a wind restrictor. You'll like the difference,

We have one and love it. With top down and windows up can talk going 75+. Looks cool lit up. We have the indy logo on ours. Probably one of our best purchases, definitely my wife’s favorite!

Never had one of the wind restrictors but have seen them installed on cars. Looks like they sit far enough back to prevent any interference with the driver/passenger. And they do look cool if you get a lighted one.

I have one it blocks a lot of wind to much for me but the wife likes it. Doesn't physically get in the way at all but for me the top of it is in the middle of my rearview mirror. I'm shorter at 5`6" I have the light and definitely need the dimmer as it's way to bright at night

Previous owner had one in the trunk; I believe it's the GM OEM version. It took me a few minutes to figure out the set up but no mods required, just two foam backed "L" brackets, each with a open cylinder that pop into interior sides by hatch. The windscreen has two "male" cylinders that slide into the "L" bracket and away you go. It cuts down the rear wind draft. I haven't noticed much else but I like it. Worth installing if you have. If they can be found for $150, I'd go for it.
