I can most definitely say that C5 prices are on the rise. Non-Z06 models are now priced as high as Z06s. It is now common to see non-Zs with less than 30K miles priced as high as Zs with the same mileage. $20K-$25K seems to be the norm now. While there still seems to be no shortage of low mileage C5s, demand must still be as high, or higher than supply. I have no other explanation for what is happening...

It's simple really. It's summer, this is prime Corvette selling season.

Low mileage C5s have been in the low to mid 20s for years. People act like the 30k or less mile cars went down past that, but they never did except maybe from private sellers. Especially manuals.

A year ago or more this wasn't true. I was finding sub-20K mile M6 C5s for under $20K. Now, you can forget about finding them for that...

Probably COVID pricing. As people are unable to move around, seems like it’s toy buying time. A friend of mine is trying to buy a used boat and can’t find one because they have been getting snapped up. I imagine pleasure cars may be experiencing the same surge.
One thing to consider is from year to year there are a number of changes to the C5 population. Cars are driven and accumulate higher mileages. Some are wrecked every year and a number are modified. Some are actually stuck in garages and won't be seen again for many years. Although people love to point out how many were manufactured, compared to other popular cars, not that many. Who would have ever thought old VW Bugs would be hard to find and a collectors item? Go try to buy a nice one!

Totally agree. Prices are sky high now on used boats. I can sell mine for 15k more than I paid for it eight years ago.
"It's not the prettiest thing on 4 wheels"...why make a statement like this? To some it could be. This article reiterates what I said, C5 prices are definitely going up...
I bought a 04 base, 6 speed with 49000 miles in excellent condition about 2 months ago. Paid $12,250. replaced tires due to age, otherwise no repairs.
I thought it was a great deal.
