Most any good locksmith can copy one of yours. I had mine done for $23.

Dealership or vendor.

Vendor:: Ecklers Corvette Ignition Keys And Locks.

You will need to measure the resistance on the VATS Pellet to order the right one.

I purchased a blank key online with the right VATS value, and brought it to a local locksmith to cut.

I actually took it a step further, following this post:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1597614808
Which uses this:

Still need to buy a key blank, but it can be the cheapest one. Then a tiny bit of modification for an awesome result.

If you have a duplicate key with a chip, just take it to any locksmith facility. They can measure the chip resistance with a machine that they already have and cut you a perfect match. No dealer for $100.00 and Eckler's is always overpriced. Cost me $25.00... GOOD LUCK!

As mentioned, you have a number of options. Perhaps the easiest would be a locksmith. Be prepared to show a number of documents to prove you are the owner of the vehicle or you may not get a key cut.

If your current key works fine turning the lock cylinders, you can make duplicates:
  • Using a multimeter, measure the resistance of your key pellet.
  • Check the chart below and find the corresponding VATS No.
  • Buy a blank with the correct VATS for your car (Google will help you )
  • Make a duplicate in the place of your choice

I measured my VATS value and bought the right key on ebay. Took it to chevy dealer and they totally fucked it up. Next time I will go to a professional.

STRATTEC makes a GM-identical replacement for these, factory appearance, which is important to me. Even the 50th key. Measured mine, ordered the right value, and the guy at Home Depot cut them for me at no charge.
