TooK a lengthy drive today in my 2003 C5 ZO6. Trip was 400 or so miles. About 10 miles from home all my gauges went off. Fuel gauge to zero, pegged the temp gauge, zero oil pressure on the gauge, said the car was in reduced power mode and it was not. Lots of codes being thrown. Car was running fine. Where do I start?

First, battery condition? After a drive and then shut down, voltage across battery terminals should be over 12.6 V. Battery cables clean and tight (11 foot pounds for side terminals). Battery load test next.
If the above is good, I would suspect the ignition switch. An indicator is that after experiencing symptoms similar to what your car exhibited would be that after shutdown and restart, symptoms disappear or change.
Another common cause is/ are the multitude of grounds, one or more getting corroded and starting to fail to make contact. Disassemble, clean and dielectric grease all ground contacts before reassembly.
I've had this problem happen just once in my 02. I immediately pulled over and shut the car down. I started it back up and everything was peachy. Wish I could help more but I would guess a loose connection somewhere.
