headlight gear
Who is the guy that sells the brass headlight gear? Is it better to replace the gear or buy a new motor? I see some motors for sale for $60-70. I assume those motors come with the plastic gear.

New motor IMO. If yours is OG, it still can fail even with a brass gear. I had my motor start rotating in an elliptical motion after a while which still caused the gear to not engage.

Add me to the Rodney DIckman fan club. Just did the drivers side on Friday. What year is your C5? Early units have fasteners holding the metal gear cover in place. High quality motor and housing, and replacing the gear works -- plus, replacement early motors are less common on the market.
