Default Side marker question?

New guy to the asylum, recently purchased a 50th anniversary coupe. I plan on upgrading my rear lights with halo leds, and while doing so planned on upgrading the side markers. I was wondering what is better the diamond cut side markers or the led laser styled? Any help would be greatly appreciated

l have LED's all around and went with these for my side markers. They are tinted and look very cool imo.

Laser for sure! I couldn't believe how bright they were when I installed mine. Look at the ground next to the car in the attached pic. That's all from the laser LED side markers!

I have the JWM LED markers in the smoke tint style on mine-

The original side markers, with tint film applied (that was a big pain in the neck as I'm not too good at applying tint film!)

The LED housing and lamp. In "real life" the light is not as washed out, it's a crisp line of bright light

Here is the marker, lights off
Be aware that if you have a retractable radio antenna, you'll have to do the side marker removal and install from under the car, looking up and reaching up from the floor. It's not hard, just a little tricky to get your arm up there.

They're kind of expensive, but you can get the laser side markers painted to match your car. Although, if you don't want them to work at all, you could probably find a body shop that would be willing to paint you stock lenses to match. I'm guessing you don't have to pass inspection.

As an install tip if you have the retractable radio antenna, you can unscrew the rear wheel well liner to get to the back of the side marker. It can be a bit of a PITA. For the driver's side it's best to remove the tail light and go in that way.

This is what I did, but the car was up with wheels removed already. Easy access through the wheel wells, at least. I did it this way on both sides.

Another recommendation here for the LED laser style units. I had just popped in a T10 LED bulb in the stock housing before, and was close to ordering the aftermarket gloss red housings that still used a normal bulb when I saw the laser style units for sale on ebay. Ended up picking a set up. I got the black ones that have the LED strip non-tinted, and I think they're one of the best mods to the car visually. That LED beam in person looks so good and unique on the car to me. Even during a bright California day they stand out on the car when lit up. VERY bright as well.

I purchased some clear diamond cut to put LED's in, then saw the laser side markers. Fell instantly in lust with those, purchased, put on actually through the tail light openings even with the power antenna. Was a bit of a challenge, but doable. The car is black so went with the black housings. IIRC, the vendor, can do body colors.

I'm currently running the Adjure diamond lenses with LED bulbs. Does anyone know if the manufacturer of the Lasers also make a front corner LED option?

Can't remember at the moment (old timers). I'll surf the net in a day or two and see if I can't find out. Sorry.

I've seen clear and smoked versions of the lasers. Do they offer standard DOT red reflectors with red LEDs?

Yes, VetteLights does, that’s what I have.
I don’t have any night pics, but they are very bright.

Heres a link with their info in it.
