I know white is difficult to see in the sun but in the shade is when you really see the glow and shine. So I started polishing/buffing and man the mirror shine for 22 years old. It's washed, clayed, iron removed and polished so far.

White is such a great color for Corvettes but, the C5 is such a great platform to enhance it even more!! You put in a helluva effort, and it shows!! Nice results you've accomplished, enjoy staring at it a bit longer than usual, you've earned it!!

I've never seen this before. What does "iron removed" mean? Brake dust?
Oh, also, you car looks amazing!

Other than claying it, iron particles can stick to the paint and so I use an iron remover such as iron x but cheaper. You can YouTube iron removal. It makes a difference. You spray it on dry and let it sit. When the solution mixed with the iron particles it will change color. Do not be scared!!!! It's part of the process. Then you can hose off or mitt off. Does everyone need to do it? No. Most people don't know about it but for s professional high end detailer with polishing and ceramic coating, it makes a difference.
Nicely done, C4gone! I think white finishes really benefit more from the iron removal & claying process, as they are almost a pure "color" to reveal imperfections like fallout, brake dust and those annoying orange specs!
A white car really pops when you see it in person in the sunlight, and is quite hard to capture on camera.
I do detailing as a side business out of my garage, and I have to say I enjoy working on the white finishes for the before and after "wow" factor for my clients.
