So I notice a boot look loose and when I pulled it as recommended to check, it literally ripped in half. Yep time to change the plugs. But that stupid driver side rear...what made it so difficult is the wire broke like the first one and I couldn't for the life of me get the boot off. I don't have the long boot pliers...took 3 hours just to get it yanked off but finally the plugs are in...
Ugh, I really didn't enjoy pulling the old plug wires on my Z06 a year ago. I think only 2 of them came off "nicely"... the rest were a b*tch. Had to take this pic of that carnage:
Also, my Z06 only had 62k miles when I pulled these off.

#7 which is the driver firewall plug, you cannot see where it goes and you can't really guide it with your other hand and with the tubing an extension got in the way for me. I had to "feel" it and pray I didn't drop it. That plug alone made me almost call my therapist for a session....
When I did this job I was new to the car. Threads had me prepared for the worst but all the prep made it pretty straightforward. Taking off the air tubing and having a flexible extension was all it took. If anyone could have screwed up, I would have. Plenty of good tips to get it done with the right tools. Try doing rear plugs on a Toyota 3.5.
Just did plugs and wires in my 01 this weekend. Wires came out in pieces on the drivers side. I used long nose spark plug pliers. 1 1/2 hours to do the drivers side, 15 minutes to do the passengers. On the passenger side I put a wide blade flat screwdriver between the pliers and the engine and pried out with the screwdriver while gripping the boots with the pliers. Boots popped right off. I’m betting if I did the same on the drivers side Things would’ve went a lot smoother.
