I'm looking to install a pair of aftermarket buckets. I'm not talking about actual racing seats.
I'm looking for something that manually adjusts and bolts right in. Anything out there?

I've researched Recaro top-of-the-line. Forgot the name, but you can look them up. They are a composite seat, with manual adjusting, so you will save the weight you could running aftermarket seats. However I have no idea about the fitment in C5's. This is the seat I'll be looking to run in my C6Z AX racecar.

Thanks for replying, I'll look into those.

Anyone else?

I have Braum elite that bolt in but with after market seats you also get the platforms that actually bolt to the floor bolts the seats bolt to the platforms. I had to raise the Front of the platform about 2 inches to get the angle that worked for me you’ll have to get a pair of c6 seatbelts and receivers as the c5 belts won’t allow fitting seats in as they have the roll up at the bottom and c6 has the roll up above on the pillar. There trimming that needs done on the bottom plastic. There are some other post that cover this extensively on this forum.

I have the Corbeau A4 - they have the shoulder holes but not the crotch hole (for racing belt). I'm thinking I should have gotten the crotch hole. I'm 6'2 and 190 - they fit me fine (even with a helmet - this is in an FRC). They have some adjustability. I throw a cushion in the bottom to stop the thigh bolsters from bothering me when cruising on the street.

Aftermarket seat options have been thoroughly discussed in other threads, so I suggest to do some searches on the Forum. I have Corbeau Evo X (this model is fixed back though, but moves front and back on a sliding track) but require no modification to anything. Another popular option are Corbeau A4's (I think they're great and look great) and the back reclines on these, but require some minor modification work I've heard. You will also probably run into the issue in most of these were the front of the seat is a tad too low for "optimum seat position" (happens to me in the Corbeau Evo X's just as indicated above with the Braum Elites), but they do work good. They would just work great if they had a 2" elevation on the front, which can be achieved with some spacers. I want to clarify that honestly none of these are real racing seats, but they're very sporty and provide adequate lumbar support and thigh support that are worthy for some canyons, off-ramps or some track days.

Whatever option you go with, make sure you get some solid seat time with them.

I heard great things about the Corbeau A4 and bolted them in. The fit was so wrong for me that I ended up nearly selling the car before trading them away to go back to stock seats.

What works for the Internet may not work for you. Even if you ultimately have to find a different car that they’re mounted in, you’ll get a general feel for them.

Some pics of my Corbeau Evo X. Remember, these are fixed back seats, but provide forward and back seat position adjustability on a track (front handle). Advantage on these are that they require no modification, and reasonable price point vs quality.
