Default Polish finished and coated

Finally finished the paint correcting. It took a while due to my health but I got it done and then added a layer of ceramic. The car didn't look this good when I got it. It was so neglected.....

That’s an impressive shine in the car. Nicely done.

Always gratifying to see it done. I'm still hesitate about ceramic coatings though. Not sure I'll ever get over it.

Ceramic is one of those things that I was hesitant on because I didn't believe it. A protectant that lasts over a year, yeah right... Ever my customers didn't believe it. But it's true. Of course you're getting multiple layers of enhancement. Every stage adds a level of shine. Wash. Clay, 1 stage polish. 2 stage polish then ceramic. All I can say it's one of those things that you won't believe it until you see it and do it. How do I know? I was a skeptic. I didn't comprehend in my mind how something can protect over a year. Because no wax lasts a year. None. Most waxes last a couple of months at best. But ceramic is legit.

I haven't used on the vette but used it on my kabota tractor and my beater daily truck. Works good but if you don't like it don't worry it will be worn off in time, yr or maybe sooner so it isn't permanent.

OP - nice work! Props for doing it yourself.

I had paint correction and ceramic coating (igl KENZO) done by Lingenfelter Auto Spa a few months ago. Man, what a difference!

Nah...I just love Grand Sports in general...love the history...love the things Chevy did with that model for C4, C6 and C7. Since Chevy never did a C5 Grand Sport, I made my own.

Here's the build thread...

Looks good! Ceramic coatings definitely have their share of pros and cons. For my personal requirements, the cons far outweigh the pros. Neither my daily driver nor my fair weather C5Z wear ceramic coatings. Luckily, there are plenty of great car care product options available for all of us. Great job on the polishing. Your car shines nicely!

Yeah it isn't for everyone. What I always said in my detailing business to the customers is to find what suits YOU and go with it. Reason I did ceramic is because if my health. I toughed it out over time and put it on because in too weak to sit and wax and wax and stuff whereas ceramic lasts a long time. So for me I took the time to do it now even though it hurt so much but now I don't have to worry about it for a year
