Engine oil breakdown.

I use STAB-BIL in my gasoline when the car isn’t driven over the winter.

I use MOBIL 1 and change it when I start to drive it again after storage.

I only drove it about 1,000 miles last summer.

Thanks guys, Steve

If you only drive 1000 miles year, an annual oil change is fine.

The manual says annually but I also go two years due to low mileage. It has been suggested that lube oil get acidic and may cause some corrosion to internal parts. I believe newer synthetic oils are less likely to have these problems. Because oil is expensive and I am cheap 24 months works for me. Oil, service and lube companies may disagree for obvious reasons $$$$$.

Most of the time I don't take any of the advice
and go with my gut feeling.

Change mine every spring, about 2,250 miles. Mobil 1 I get to drive through the winter months.

For the low price of a oil change, why not do it yearly?

Annually for me, regardless of mileage.
Mine is pretty much only driven on weekends and is never anywhere close to the mileage or DIC recommended oil change intervals.
Piece of mind I guess, I do the same thing for my motorcycle and riding mower also.

in my reading, the additive packages deteriorate with age, and any opened, even unused , amount should be replaced after one year. I try to inform my opinions from knowledgable sources.

I do mine once a year. Cheap insurance to keep things in top shape.

I still enjoy my Hogg! I don’t know how many more years I’ll be able to ride, but I’ve had a bike ever since I was 18.
My Hope is to get a C8 HTC when the time comes. I sure wish they would make one in inferno orange like the bike!

I so want a C8! I'll be waiting for a Z06 model a couple of years after it comes out. I should have the house paid off by then. Nice motorcycle!

Thanks Mickey, I’ve been all over the country on it. In 2014 I did the NHRA Western swing and Sturgis and a lot of stuff in between.
Im not sure that I could do that again now.
