There are several good performance shops that can build
your tranny for high hp applications (like over 1,000hp or less)
You have choices like trans brakes, torq converters, etc besides
the updated gears etc in the tranny itself. Talk to a couple of
tranny builders to get a feel for what they can do for you.
Good luck
I installed the TransGo shift kit as well as had my tuner change the pressures and shift points a bit and it made my car drive so much better. I highly recommend the TransGo kit as it makes an "average" feeling transmission, respond the way a Corvette transmission should. (in my opinion)
Thanks guys
I'll check out the LS1Tech site
not going to be making quite 1k, maybe 500 if lucky
dyno day is next friday
hopefully they can do something with the trany in tuning

Watch out on 2 an3 gear on stock tranny. They are weak, even at 500hp.
You will not have a problem the first time on a dyno. But the constant
full throttle will weaken the tranny over time. Many guys have experienced
it, includeing me (many years ago). Plan on having your tranny built in the
future.
Good luck
