Recently my car when down in the first of July because someone busted my back window at work. Safelite canceled four times until they finally fixed it a week ago and while it was down I wanted to change the radiator because it was cracked long story short I finally got it replaced today and took it for a 2 minute drive to the gas station and the passenger side of the engine bay was wet. So I got it home and I looked and seen the water pump was leaking. The water pump was good before it went down could it just let go for sitting for about a month and a half?
I put a NAPA pump in two weeks ago and it looks like a better design, here's the ten year old replacement pump next to it. The old pump had an intermittent leak from the rusted rear cover that wasn't assembled right from the factory.
