So this is the ‘97’s journey thread, nice. I’ll be following for sure. I can also vouch that it loves that LS3. Super fun.

Hi
Thanks Mark. Took it in for alignment yesterday and it looks like a bent control arm on the left front. Got both on order. Never a dull second. Be safe

Hi
No, when I did the change out I did not belong to this forum.
it was a easy change out, my first LS project.
LS3 dolls right into the engine carraige. The hardest part for me was the wiring I had a ton of help from friends. You need wire extensions for most if the sensors, they are available from different sources. I am using the Lingengelter
conversion box to make up for the 24 to 58 conversion.

I found a site with a step by step guild. I will find it and post it here.

Good luck getting the car where you want it to be. The C5 is a very fun, and capable, car.

Hi
it has been a while, I have been doing a lot of little things to my 97.
today I brought 4 new nitto tires foe it.. I also purchased two C7 seats, just waiting for the harnes from Vetworks. She is running fine, and is a ton of fun to drive

Hope you are all well and safe

I think you're going to have a blast working on it, and a boatload of fun driving it. You will be able to be proud it was built and not bought! Good for you!

Wire it up yourself because the Vette works harness may take a while. I've been waiting since July...
