this year and last year I hook up my charger to battery in car c5.
Battery charger shows it is charging and then several hours later the light goes on showing bad battery.
when I unhook charger the car shows full charge.
not sure if there is something setting of dead battery light ?
Anyone out there that can tell me if I should worry about this or just go with charger as is?
what could set off bad battery light when charging?

Perhaps you did not have a good connection between the charger and the battery. Or it could be a bad battery. Why not take the battery to an auto parts store (or dealer) and have them check it over for any issues it may have. Then you could tell whether it is the battery or your charger that is the problem.

If you need a battery, make sure it is AGM. Absorbed Glass Matt as the pcm is directly below the battery. Leaky lead acid from regular batteries can destroy a C5 by killing the harness.
