Gray would be nice, but two tone is very easy to overdo and look tacky.
I also think there's too much black expanse in my Millennium Yellow car. I've done a couple of small things (painted door bezels, airbag letters) to try and freshen it up a little, but everything else I see comes across as too much.
I hydrodipped the center console and door handle bezels in carbon fiber. I have a steering wheel cover in yellow and black that helps to break it up. Right now I am very happy with it.
I have the Oak in my interior which kind of makes it a two tone based on the tan and black. I don't feel it is too much at all and prefer it to one single color. Not sure how gray would look but I do like the tan.
I think the only way to pull off the yellow exterior is to do the black interior. I don’t care for the 2 tone on that color, either black/red or black Yellow. Makes it look a bit ricer in my opinion.
Where did you get the steering wheel, let alone with the controls?
The steering wheel is a C6 steering wheel that was modified by RFE Design, a supporting vendor. I have a thread on how I installed it here. The steering wheel radio and phone controls do not work yet; that is still a work in progress.
