That’s just part of it when you have polished wheels.
I did some minor wet sanding and polishing during the winter months last year. It was very time consuming and messy, but well worth the effort. They looked brand new afterwards.
I take them off the car at least once a year and do a good clean and polish.
I'm VERY curious on what you guys use for a coating on polished aluminum rims as I have just polished my CCW rims to a nice shine. I was thinking about ceramic coating them but damn, a little bottle of the stuff is $100
As a mental health professional, I can provide some guidance. If you can’t stop thinking about your wheels being dirty and decide to clean them at 3AM so you can stop thinking about them then, yes, you have OCD. Otherwise, you are just a type A person who drives everyone else crazy or a Corvette owner.

So.......if you can tough it out until 4AM, then you are ok?!
I am just a Chevy owner. Certainly not an avid polisher. And definitely not one of those people who takes his C5 out for a weekend run and promptly has to polish it afterwards. It gets washed - occasionally, and kept up mechanically. A silver car suits me perfectly - silver cars don't get dirty, they just turn a delicate shade of gray. Before the C5 I had a black car and it only ever looked good just after it was washed and polished. Too many other things to do in life, as far as I am concerned.
