Right hand wiper blade's washer hoses have broken off at the connector at the base of the wiper arm. Is there a hack to fix this? Is that little plastic connector available? If so, where? I have been told the only way to fix it is to purchase a new GM wiper arm. Suggestions?
From what I see you are correct in that you'll need to purchase the whole arm to get the nozzles. I haven't had any issues with mine yet but I found this on here you might try. If this doesn't work then I also saw that some people use a needle to clear the blockage. The only time I've used mine was by accident while cleaning the car....lol. I'm not really even sure mine still work. Doesn't rain here much in Pheonix.
Not my process so not sure it works or not.
I noticed lately my lower passenger side nozzle was not spraying any fluid on the windshield. Upon inspection I discovered that it was clogged. So I removed all four nozzles and did the following:
Windshield Washer Nozzle Cleaning:
Place washer nozzles in an 8 ounce tumbler (glass)
Add ¾ of a glass of hot tap water
Put in microwave for 50 seconds
Carefully remove the tumbler and pour out water
Allow the nozzles to cool
DO NOT POUR COLD WATER ON THE NOZZELS
Then I reattached the nozzles and they worked great.
BTW you can use compressed air after the cleaning BUT the nozzle contains a cartridge inside that acts as a restrictor and with enough air it WILL go flying.
I'm having a problem with my pax windshield wash, too.
the outboard nozzle is clear. I couldn't remove the inboard nozzle, but with the outboard clear, that should mean the tubing is clogged between the splitter and the pax nozzle(s).
that hard plastic tubing isn't easy to detach. work i progress.
