Plug wires for long tubes
I just installed long tubes, some of the plug wires r almost touching the primarries. Anyone know a good brand with a shorter or flexible boot to fix this issue?

I am using the Hinson USA made 8.5mm wires. They are around 60 bucks shipped IIRC. I went from marginal clearance to no problems at all.

I run these exact wires too. My headers are wrapped, but there is significant clearance for the wire boots and there are zero worries about them.

I have MSD wires and have zero issues with my long tubes. Plug boot socks are a good budget idea too. They work just fine.

For wires I installed Taylor Thundervolt 50, 10.4MM spark plug wires which
can withstand heat up to 600 degrees F, and protected them with Summit Racing 8" Spark Plug Wire and Boot protectors (p/n:
SUM-350140BLK) which are guaranteed up to 1,200 degrees F: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-350140blk

you will be pleased. They have a great fit and a ton of space - and my headers are 1 7/8” as well.

I was thinking the wires with the angled end may give even more clearance. No. 1 plug wire is just about touching on mine. I had to trim the wire end a little........

I've had the same MSD wires on my C5 for 16 years. No problems ever. The Kool Sox help a lot, I'm sure.....

MSD. They have a "bendable" spark plug heads to allow you to angle them away from headers. I also run DEI sleeves as well.
