Looking for any advice on what you use to hold your phones while you're driving? Anything that can install on the right side of the radio or mount the phone in that general location? (Something where it's easy to see a map on the screen if you're running it, but out of the way.
Weather Tech cup phone holder. I have picture on here showing the setup. The secret to having a really good snug fit is using some Velcro on the bottom of the cup holder and on the side of the lid.
This holder from Pro Clip is GREAT! It just snaps on. You purchase the clip and then you can purchase different parts depending on how you want it to hold your phone.. I choose the magnet. Double sided tape holds the magnet to the clip. A small metal plate mounts to your phone. I have had it for a year with no problems.
If you are looking for something to mount a little higher maybe try the Vanmass section on amazon. They seem to test their stuff pretty thoroughly for you and looks like they have some pretty decent products.
I'll be trying them next since I like to use my phone as a driving camera as well, and the proclip just holds the phone too low to see the road.

The ProClip has a good reputation here so it would be a good choice. Some like the Weathertech product as it is customizable to fit a variety of cup holders.
I just put one of those in my C5Z and really like it. it's very easy to mount, it literally just clips on. I also got a Proclip phone holder which works well for my iPhone X in an Otterbox Commuter case.
I've got the Scosche Magic mount in my daily, which is fantastic (especially for the price), but I can't find a place to mount one in the C5 so I just bought a couple of the magnetic vent mounts on Amazon Prime day for like $3 each. I'll report back on how well they work.
