Last month after a lot of searching I found one place that sold rebuilt pumps for around $200 but no longer have the link. As per advice on this forum, instead of replacing the pump I deleted all the attached hoses, taped up the electrical connector and capped the exhaust manifold ports, the next step is to turn off the error codes with HP software. Moisture in the air entering the pump is what eventually destroyed it, it was rusted from the inside out. Now, access to the driver side rear spark plugs is better without the hoses in the way.
In the meantime pull the fuse to it just so you aren't trying to power up a busted pump. The lit CEL is annoying but it won't effect engine operation. If you live in a smog check state you'll have to have it but otherwise I would (and did) delete it. It's more trouble than it's worth.
I have one from a 99 Trans Am that is in great shape - possible it is the same. Do some cross checking if you want to see if it is a match. If so PM me.

One REAL BAD thing about leaving a CEL on when its only a minor issue; IF, and when, a serious issue does comes up, it can't light a light that has already been lit by a "minor issue"....
