I left mine out in the rain for 4 hours while I swapped tires on the Subie...it survived. but the vert top leaks on the drivers side. Which is why I don't drive it in the rain. New project..find the leak...
If the rear window is secure, and not leaking, i would start by putting some dielectric grease on all the weather stripping. More often than not, this will fix the problem.
For the first time since moving into my house I had to leave the Z06 out in the rain overnight! It was my day off and I wanted to get some much needed maintenance done on the project car, which is normally the corvettes garage mate, but my 4runner has been taking its spot for a differential lock project and lift.
My Z06 was my only car for about 5 years, so it’s no stranger to the elements, but I did feel kind of sad pulling it out into the rain last night to park a raggedy mazda in the warm garage.
didn’t get any incriminating photos of my offense, but here’s some after photos.
the rx7 got new pads and rotors all the way around, and a new front lip.
the last photo is how my garage is normally setup, though I usually leave the red truck on the street so I can get the corvette out easily without moving cars since I still like to drive it any time it’s nice out.
funny how I have two ~400-450 horsepower cars and two 4x4 off-roaders, and still manage to be looking for new vehicles every day while my wife has been driving her 05 Corolla for the past 10 years without complaint
I will say, the Mazda lip really has me thinking that the corvette deserves one too
My first home after finishing my apprenticeship was a tri-level. Nice place dude (sorry-a little biased when it comes to tri-levels!). I don't see as many new tri levels being built today as there were 40-50 years ago......
Nice rides and bla, bla, blah. All I gotta say is - You NEED some furniture man!!!
those are actually the pictures from the online listing where we bought our house hahahah. Granted, there’s still nothing in the room above the garage, but I spent my budget on the gym and tools, and the wife spent hers on the rooms in the actual house
it’s taken me 6 months to convince my wife that we don’t need to buy all brand new furniture in rooms that we will literally use once or twice a year since both of our families live less than an hour away, and we don’t have any friends who would stay with us, so that room will be filled soon enough.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
