Good price for a 2K 2002 Z06. You ask why? One factor is the GM financing offer of Zero percent across the board on new GM products including Corvettes, plus not to mention "no payment" for three months from purchase date. Other GM financing incentives are also with this promotion. It makes better sense to buy "new" over pre-owned, for now. Not even sensible to buy "cash" on new Z06s. You ask why, well if GM will carry the financing at zero down and zero finance charge....you'll make better money with your cash by keeping it invested elsewhere.
I think that is a damn good deal for a 2002 Z with a few thousand miles. The buy it now price is less than what I owe on mine. :cry
Car sales in general are down right now, new and used. Now is the best time to buy.
Well considering they bought that car from someone and are marking it up a few thousand (at least), it's still too high! I'll bet wholesale price is 5-6K less than the "Buy It Now" price!
They had a 01 Red Z06 with a 'B-I-N" it now of $35,900 and ran it at least twice. Neither time did it sell. It's a nice car, I looked at it the other day!
I was just in Houston, Texas over the holidays and saw signs posted on dealerships offering 5k off MSRP on Corvettes. I don't know if it's for the Z06, but assuming it is (it and the convertible are the more expensive ones anyways), at 51k MSRP - 5K, you're at 46k. I'd buy new and get the 0% financing for a 2003 model if it was me instead of paying 41.5k. Resale value will be higher for the 03 and like someone else mentioned, the 0% and no money down with the new car more than makes up the 5k you save I feel.
