Is there someone on here that could look up service records for the 2002 C5 that I just bought? Please send an email and I will give you the VIN number appreciate it.

Just go to your local Chevy dealer with your VIN and they should be able to run you a vehicle history that would include any repair work done at a dealer, including warranty work.
Carfax let's you look up maintenance service history for free, of course they will probably try to sell you the complete service that shows everything.
I looked up mine once and it showed through the years getting emissions tests in Arizona, do my own oil changes so no record for that, now wondering if it would show when I bought new tires and got alignment at Firestone?
Going to look now.

Did not show my new tires installed or alignment, but emissions test going back from me having it in Arizona, first emissions test in 2005 when I moved here, some history of California when I lived there.
Goes back to July 2000 in oil changes from original owner in Connecticut.

I tried for a hour to get a free CARFAX report for my 2000 but all I could come up with was full reports for a fee. Where did I go wrong on my searches?
Hmm I'm not sure, I found it in early 2018 looking at a used Kia Soul gf was thinking of buying, then started setting it up on my Corvette, and other cars.
Edit saw you were trying to get free carfax report, it's not a report, you can however get free history of maintenance at shops, IF a shop documented it.

I bought a used Chevy Colorado back in June. Dealer pulled the VIS and it showed like 3 items... Carfax showed like 15 service histories...all at Chevy dealers... yet the VIS didnt have those records...
I downloaded the CarFax car care maintenance app. It's free. Punch in the VIN and it will show you a maintenance history performed by any dealer, or service center, that participates in the reporting service (usually dealers). I was able to verify the previous maintenance prior to buying my vehicle. Going forward you can also add any owner performed maintenance or maintenance performed by independent repair shops who do not report to CarFax.
This is not a CarFax history report that you are paying $39.99 for. This will not show title changes, liens, accident reports, etc... Only vague descriptions of services performed, mileage, dates and locations where the services were performed.
