New Seat Cushions
I installed new seat cushion on my C5 seats. These are in a C2 Restomod. My head is hitting the roof in my coupe. They are now way to high and to thick in the back area. My question is how long before they settle? I was thinking of putting weight on the seat when It is sitting. Before anyone asked. I preferred these seats because they are electric and were very comfortable in the C5 I owned.

I bought them at RPI. Not sure who he uses. I set car with old foam and leathers and I fit great. I put new foam and skins and now my head hits the roof.

When I did the foam in my '99 C5, I found myself sitting a good inch higher. The old foam been cut into by the seat wires so it was lower than when new and had probably softened and compressed over the years. When I redid them, I used the high-density foam replacements and put jute padding between the foam and the seat wires to keep the wires from cutting in, and the difference in seating position was significant and very noticeable. I got used to it. It's been several years now and I wonder if that foam has compressed a bit.
