I travel with my motorcycle compressor from cyclepump.com

Aerostitch.com has some good ones too.

Never needed to fill a car tire with it but I imagine these compact ones will take a long time to fill.

I have tried many, and this is by far the best!

I bought 2 of these, one for my wife's car and one for the Vette.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073VB41W3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073VB41W3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's self contained and works surprisingly well.

I actually did the same thing and purchased this kit, as it has the sealer and a compressor that work together. You can also just use the compressor part of the kit if need be.

I read about this one on the 4runner (offroad) forum - have it now with no battery - to use it the engine also has to be running. I'm going to get a battery so I can use it for the air mattress when camping.

I run a Harbor Freight, direct from the battery since it pulls a tad more current than even a true cigarette lighter can handle -- have used it for both the corvette and even pickup tires, works great, low investment, fits in the R/H well in the bag that it came with:

I carried a compressor from Campbell-Hausfield that I bought at WalMart. Worked just fine and fit in one of the compartments.

That depends on your location. In my area, in my state, AAA road service SUCKS. The bottom line is this:
AAA pays their contracted Towtruck/Wrecker/Road service people a set fee, let's say for discussion, $40 per call. Whatever the actual rate is, it is FAR LESS than these companies can make by taking out-of-AAA network road service calls. So what would you do? Make $40 when AAA gets around to paying your company the $40, or collecting an on the spot $70-$90 towing/jump starting/yanking a stuck, non AAA vehicle out of the snow/mud/fill in the blank? My wife and I spent over 6 hours in a Home Depot parking lot less than 30 miles from home, from 5:00 PM until 11:00PM that night!!!! We didn't get home until almost midnight, and I had to get up at 4:00 AM to get ready for work. The entire time we were in the parking lot, we waited on the AAA Wrecker to come......The AAA contracted wrecker was less than 1 mile from us!!!! We knew where their company was/is. They kept saying they had "a lot of calls that day, and were running behind". Finally, about 9:30PM, AAA called their next closest contracted wrecker, which was almost 35 miles away, about 5 miles West of our home!! I was absolutely LIVID!!! The guy who came to rescue us told us this entire "territorial and political/financial" story. As soon as our insurance expired, we went to another company. Had been with AAA over 20 years. Doesnt matter. NOBODY has customer service anymore. This is a true story, so help me. AAA, Verizon, and some of these huge companies have gotten so big, they don't give a rip for anyone, trust me.

When Sears automotive was still around my area, I bought a portable high volume 12V compressor from them. The key is to ensure that it's a high volume air compressor. Otherwise, it will take a long while to fill up a completely flat tire.

I've used these VIAIR portable compressors before and they will inflate tires, amazingly fast.

I highly recommend the Viair compressors. That’s what I run in my side by side. I don’t carry anything in the Vett but I do have towing on my geico policy for like 5 bucks a month

I have this FCA Mopar compressor with tire seal in my Trackhawk
It's about 65.00

I also keep a 12v scissor jack under the rear seat that makes things easy.

Nobody has mentioned the factory Z06 compressor in the inflator kit.

It’s a really nice bit of hardware. I’d get the kit and remove the expired tire sealant bottle and replace it with regular tire plugs and a set of vice-grips.

Quick search found this one for $70.
