Tanaka seats ?

Hello everyone. Does any one have these seats in their C5 (or C6) ?

They say it they don't fit in a Vette or Miata, but I don't really see why. Their dimensions are very similar to other seats that do fit.

It looks like they are too wide at the bottom area (21") as those with 20.5" mention they have a little rubbing.
