C5 Windshields Discontinued?

Maybe someone will help clear this up; I've been told there are 2 different windshields, one for HUD, 1 for non-HUD. Also been told it makes no difference which windshield you use. I honestly don't know what to believe. The guy who changed my last one said it DOES matter, that there are 2 different part numbers. Of course,, the HUD part is more costly (HUD Tax, lol?). Does anyone know for sure?

I think they are made on order to all older cars by bigger window companies , Z06 and convertible had thinner windshield to save weight that is why there are two part numbers i think.
Never heard that it requires a special one for the Hud ?
