Something Wrong with Z06 Picture?
I was looking to bid on this car but the picture is making me think otherwise. Any comments or advise?

Roof color is black. Maybe just a glare from the photo. If it is black then I would be careful. Make a phone call and some more info. Other then that looks fine.

The roof is painted black, including the section on the trunk that is part of the roof. The seller states "There have been absolutely no previous paint or body repairs performed". The car has Mod Red Interior: possibly roof painted for looks. Ask seller to ask previous owner why roof was painted.

The write up under the second picture by Nathan Malory says it's a chance to own a convertable. It doesn't look like a convertable even though the roof appears to be black. Strange that if it was a convertable conversion they did not advertize the fact.

:iagree: And I believe the tree in the background has its shadow on the roof and portion of the rear trunk, giving it the appearance of a black top.

Not a convertible (specular hilights on black: paint). Not shadow (shadow produces darker grey, see mirror shadows). Top has been painted black or Photoshop'd. The black can be seen to run along the seams on the rear deck. Here's a blow-up + contrast-enhanced image:
The engine, interior, and exterior photos look good. I've seen other FRC's with painted black roofs. If the roof had been damaged, they could have repainted it with silver. My guess is previous owner had it painted because they liked the different look. The Acura NSX comes with optional black paint for the roof (http://www.nsxhelp.com/faq/modelinfo.htm).
Dealers frequently make misprints (convertible, tire sensors, etc) due to limited product knowledge... They list Carfax and VIN: it's a 2002 Z06. Car looks good, inside and out (also note clean brake fluid).
