C5 Key Fob
Recently bought a 99 C-5 with 10,000 miles, always garaged and flawless.
Bought new batteries for both key fobs, but no joy. Is this a common problem and what is the best solution?

Did you reprogram them through the Driver information Center? (AKA the DIC!) If you did an they are still not working most likely there are bad solder joints on the internal PC board. Do a search for Fob repair and it will show you were to reflow the solder to fix it. I was able to fix mine this way. Keep in mind that new 97-00 fobs are about $90 and 01-04, which are only $25 or less, will not work on 97-00 cars.
