Any Battery charger experts?

For the longgivity of a 12 volt battery--Better to have a charger with a Float mode of about 13.20 volts OR a charger-maintainer that fully charges than shuts off until battery falls to 12.80 volts than turns back on to a full charge-turns off again-on and on--or both OK?

I wouldn't consider myself an expert. However, if it were my car I'd go with the charger-maintainer option. Although both should be fine.

There both charger-maintainers--just operate different

Get yourself either a Deltran Battery Tender Plus or a Ctek model - both work well to keep your battery topped off and in shape.

I have had my C5 on this generic CarQuest battery maintainer 24/7 excpt on the road or track for 10 years so far. It keeps battery voltage up around 13 volts, does not let the battery drop in voltage more than about 0,1 volts while connected. I installed wiring to the fog light cove on the passenger side for easy connect/ disconnect.

Not an expert but I've been using a C-tek for about 6 years with the same AC Delco battery with no issues.

CTEK, Deltran, or Optima. You can't go wrong with any of those choices. I happen to own all three plus a Schumacher tender.

I have owned a Deltran 4-bank Battery Tender for years. The original battery in my 2004 Corvette lasted 10 1/2 years thanks to it. I use it constantly on 4 different vehicles and have never had a problem with it.
