Default c7 wheels on c5

Will these fit my car (99 vert)? they are 18x8.5 in front and 19x10 rears. I guess my main concern is offset of the rears. I've tried finding that info, but so far, unsuccessfully.

ok, I think i've confirmed that the offset for these c7 rears is 79. my current is 57, i think (stock chrome wagon wheels).

Using the wheel calculator found on a website (not sure which) its say i need 16mm spacer (5/8")

So, based on that i think i'm ok. Will i need longer lug bolts? and how are they installed? (press fit?)

I used 20mm hub centric adapters with those offsets and it's a perfect fit. I was able to use the adapter without cutting the ends of the studs off because the rim had an indent that allowed them to fit. if not you have to trim the studs. You could use longer studs with a spacer but they are a pain to install.

I have those wheels. Used 3/4” spacer on the rear and trimmed the lugs.

Well, I bought those c7 wheels. Now I need a 20mm hub centric adapter for the rear. (if this is the wrong term, sorry) Looking for a quality one, already painted black. Also, are center caps a generic size?

Dumb question, is that particular C7 wheel prone to the cracking issues that have plagued the C7?

20mm (3/4”) should be correct. Have the standard 18,19 wheels on my 99.

Well i wasn't aware of c7 wheel cracking issue til now. Of course i've become aware after i already made purchase. However, just looked thru c7 forums, and i could be wrong, but it seems to be issue with the wheels on c7z and GS.

It's only the widebody wheels that are prone to cracking/bending. The narrow variants are good to go.

And those wheels would be fine if you don't use runflat tires. As already mentioned, the base C7 wheels are thicker and haven't had any cracking issues.

Runflat tires have a very stiff sidewall, that can contribute to cracked wheels.

Well, i'm in the market for tires, but don't plan on getting run flats.

Thanks for the good information fellas on the widebody wheels.

Apologize djohn for setting off a mini panic. Was not my intention.

I've got the new wheels on now. Havent driven it though (cars put away for the winter) Car looks very 4x4 right now, hasn't settled down after jacking each corner up. Put my big boy pants on and trimmed the wheel lugs.

Had trouble updoading the pics
