Thinking of adding a steering wheel wrap and arm cushions for the side doors. Doing it for comfort rather than style.. Has anyone done it and do you like it. Yes/No. Opinions wanted. If you did it and liked it where did you get the materials?

Yes I did it. I did the wrap before getting a custom color wheel. The wrap looks okay but you need to take your time to get an even a tight wrap. Bought the wrap from local care parts store. I also have the arm rests. Love the look and the comfort. I found using double sided tape or Velcro so I moved to the 3M extra strength tape. I got the arm rests from a now out of business vendor but I see them from time to time on the FS Forum.

For the last two C5s I had, I bought a custom covered steering wheel (not a wrap) and padded arm rests from Vette Essentials, who unfortunately are not in business any more. As far as the arm rests go, yes, they were a good buy IMO and very comfortable.

I believe there are still vendors that sell the arm rests and I’m sure you can buy a steering wheel wrap if you decide to go that route rather than a custom leather covered steering wheel.
