January 5 1998, 23 years ago today i took delivery of this 98 torch red coupe. This has been a great car. With maintenance and upkeep this corvette is better than the day I brought it home. In looks and how it runs. As it sits it has 50.000 miles. I am proud to own and drive this car for 23 years. Every time i take it out i get looks and compliments on the condition. Every system on this car has updated or upgraded to keep it running like new. Thanks for looking in. These pictures are from this fall.
Congratulations. Great to know your C5 has been such a great performer.
I am the original owner of my 2004 C5 vert. It's come a long way since the day I drove it home to the way it's sits today, however like you I feel I have improved the car with both my performance and cosmetic mods as it drives better today than it did off the lot almost 17 years ago.
I added a 2019 C7Z, however I plan to keep my C5 vert as long as I'm above ground.

I love to see long term owners. Not sure if it’s just a corvette thing, but when I see people for the first time in a while they always seem to ask: “have you sold that corvette yet?” Or something similar.
You have had that car longer than MANY people have stayed married, and you are probably happier then MOST that have remained married for 20 plus years...
MOST "brides" don't retain their beauty for 23 years either......Whatever you do, don't let this one get away......LOL
From another "oldie", congrats!. My Sebring Silver C5 was built July 23, 1997, the 3rd day of 1998 model year production - I had ordered it based on a test drive of a '97. Evert option for the year - 6 speed, both tops, etc., etc. Not surprisingly, there were a number of warranty issues, all tied to electronics which were new for the factory and the dealer techs. There always are with new models. The dealer ended up putting a new BCM in - whether that was the problem or poor grounds/connections I never knew. But it fixed everything, so no complaints. Once it got out of warranty, it became reliable - new battery, tires, etc., new oil pressure sensor, new hazard switch and a recent A/C rebuild were about the only "must fix" items. It even still has all it's original bulbs, except for the high power back up lights (plus an Adjure). Sitting at about 85k today. i bought it as a DD and it continued to be my DD until I took an "early out".
