TPMS Question

Default TPMS Question
How can you tell if the TPMS unit in the wheel needs replacing? The teaching part sets up OK in the DIC but when a magnet is applied to the valve stem, it doesn't do anything. Car is an 03 and the sensors may be originals.......

If you aren't getting a signal and they aren't learning/syncing whatever then they probably need replaced as the batteries are dead.

Yup a few years ago batteries in the tpms of my 2002 failed one at a time. When I changed tires I purchased new TPMS. They don't last forever, yours are on overtime.

They say average lifespan is 10 years. If they don't respond to the magnet, it needs replacement.
