WOOO HOOO Larry!! Congratulations on winning the Modified Corvette of the year. With your car it wasn't even a contest, even though all the cars were great.
I didn't do as well, but I tied with the C8....I'll take that. Thanks to all that voted for the C5s.

Hey Gary, I just saw this thread. Thank you very much, I am so honored and also so proud of my C5 brothers who supported us both in the contest.
Yes, you should be very proud finishing in a tie with the C8! Our C5's definitely made a statement brother!

Congratulations Larry on your well deserved win, and congratulations, Gary, on your fine representation in the Unmodified category.
Both of your C5s are great examples of well cared for Corvettes of any generation!

Thank you Larry! That thread you posted here in C5 General no doubt helped raise awareness in the C5 community particularly. I think Gary had more votes in the Unmodified Corvette of the Year Contest than I even got in the C5 of the Year contest earlier, so it really helped.
I didn't even know that this contest had started until I stumbled across the threads in the stickies in the Off Topic forum one night when I was bored. Later on it was posted as an Announcement on the top of every forum page, but a lot of the time I don't even pay attention to that when I'm just jumping around. Maybe communication will improve in the future, but again your thread no doubt made a difference!

Agreed - I had no idea of the voting or the poll until the thread last night. I feel it is not widely shared given the sparse overall number of voters involved. But! That also keeps the voting focused on those who are probably more active members of the forum - so your win is more representative of respect for what you've done than just a quick glance at the car.
