If you really feel you need extra protection get a clear film installed. What's the point in protecting the nose if you're just going to cover it up so it can't be seen. Also, dust and dirt collect under the cover and then acts like sandpaper between the cover and the paint. As such, they tend to do as much damage as they prevent. BUT...its not my car, so do as you please.

Keeps ya busy and having fun. Nothing wrong with that. I’d like to know what bra they have? I like how much of the nose gets covered up.

Owning a black Corvette, yours certainly shines well, like a mirror.

Thanks for the nice comments. Ref nose guard, it's not my vehicle, belongs to a club member's wife, and he has a black '64. There is a bit of unsightly road rash and surface damage on the front clip, in lieu of fixing at the time, hence the cover.

Thank you for the information and will take that under advisement.

I’ll offer some disagreement with the damage assessment when using a front cover. I used one on all three of my C5s and there was no damage done by the bra. Yes, the key is keeping the car clean. Even with a bra installed, it only takes a couple of minutes to periodically remove it, wipe the front fascia down, ensure the underside of the bra is clean, then reinstall it on the car. JMO, but the clear film, while great, does not offer the same level of protection as a front cover does.

I’m just going by my experience - YMMV.

OP - great job on the detailing - what a shine.
