Hello! I just bought my first Corvette a few weeks ago, absolutely in love with it. Have already done a few things to it, but one thing I cannot get over is the wind noise above 50MPH. I took it to a trusted shop and they adjusted the windows, didn't seem to help much. I bought new roof side rails weatherstripping and that didn't help either. The last part that seems to be the cause is the vertical weatherstripping that ends up connecting to the roof one. Does anyone have a part number for that? I can't tell if the one I'm looking to buy is the right one. I'm looking at https://www.corvettemods.com/C5-Corv...t_p_13135.html the inner door.
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sure I'll be on these forums for years to come!
First tip - never spend a dime with Corvette Mods. They are awful.
The part listed in your link is the bottom outer window sweep, it appears.
Oh good to know! Is there another place I could look to?
Even though it says inner? Maybe I can snag a picture of the exact piece I'm looking to replace, because not being able to hear myself think at even highway speeds is driving me nuts.

stay away from Corvette Mods at all costs. You can likely get what you're looking for at Zip Corvette, Eckler's Corvette, or Cultrag. You may be able to find what you need cheaper, but these are all reputable vendors.
Congrats on your new Vette, and welcome to the forum!
Don't forget to SAVE THE WAVE!
@Epona95 I think, but I am not certain, that the wind noise is something intrinsic to the Corvette age. We were not so sensitive at that time as we are now, thanks to a general improvement of the sealing of the windows on current cars. You probably need to press the windows harder to the strip. Some weatherstrip lubricant may help also.
my convertible is starting to make wind noise around 80km/h - 50m/h....but it is a convertible. I did not have the windows refitted, I may one day.
good luck in your quest.
my 2 cents

That part says soft top, which I assume to mean convertible. Your profile picture is of a coupe so I’m not sure that will work
Ouch. I figured soft top meant T top as opposed to the fixed roof. I'll have to call them in the morning and see about that because I already placed the order hoping to get it by this weekend.
Noted about the reputable vendors! Thanks everyone.
And about the inherent wind noise, I know that's definitely a factor, but I can see the actual gap when the window is rolled up all the way, in the corner where the weatherstrip is missing a chunk, so hopefully this at least calms it down a little!
