So I am looking at headers. Been doing some searching and reading. I have narrowed it down between TPS and LG street headers. They are about the same price. TPS gives several more items for the same price. Has anyone installed both sets and or have experience to offer opinions. Part of me is thinking just flip a coin. Was really just looking for opinions on these 2 sets. My biggest question and or concern. Everything I have read says if you not doing FI and or big cam then stay with 1-3/4 size headers. The TPS are 1-7/8. So does it make a big difference or would I even notice the size difference.
Call Dane at LG and you may get a better deal, plus he will be able to advise you which best suits your needs.
FWIW, I personally would go ahead and get the LG 1 3/4 super pros, which will give you a little more room to grow on and better scavenging.
Also, you will need to decide whether you are going to keep or delete your Air pump system and by the headers for your desired route.

Plan on removing air pump system. That was another TPS offered on website was removal of AIR tubes.
On a side note your car is one of my favorites on the forum.
Don't know anything about TPS. Kooks, Stainless Works, and LG are 3 of the more popular choices. LG is almost a carbon copy of the old Wheel to Wheel Powertrain World Challenge header. If going with a 1-3/4" pipe, LG would be my choice. I have Kooks 1-7/8", because when I bought them 17 years ago,, I don't believe LG made a 1-7/8" header at that time. The Kooks have been great. Never any problems with fit or rattles.

Thanks for reply. I think LG is the route I'm going
I might be knit picking here but I can't see paying boutique header prices for headers that use slip fit connections. That's just me though. LG is a well respected brand so don't get me wrong there.
Also OP the Z06 does not use a specific header over any other C5 ever made.

I started looking at TSP headers. Lot of reviews I seen said they hang really low. speed eng. headers was tempting to try. LG headers and ARH and stainless works all seem to have great reviews. Really hard to find bad reviews on those top 3 brands. I found TPS headers on this forum and liked the look and review. Dane from LG sent me a message and made me a deal. So it worked out

Cool deal. You will like the LGs. If you put them in yourself I recommend a slight film of red RTV on the slip fits. You can still get them back apart but at the same time they won't leak. I actually had the Texas Speed headers and ended up selling them. Not because they were terrible or anything but I just hated dragging them over every speed bump on earth. They do hang low and my car is lowered all the way down on stock bolts.
I went back on fourth on these. Dane from LG made me a great deal and 2 days later I will have my headers. If weather permits. I will update once I get a chance to install. Its about 10 degrees outside.....so gonna be a minute
