If you want a better riding C5 with over 100K mi...then do some maintenance and buy new shocks LOL.

I don't see a C6 riding any better and if it does it's because of newer bushings and shocks.

Maybe he likes the look better on the C5 but the C6 is a better upgraded version of the C5 and I purchased a C5 over a C6 to go along with my C7 Z06.

I love my 2002 C5 Z06. If I ever upgrade I will want a C7 Z06. I have never really cared for the C6. This is very petty and kind of silly, but my biggest complaint about the C6 is the front grill and headlights. When I look at it….It makes me think of a “smiley” face or the smiling car on toy story. I like the smooth, cool and elegant lines of my 2002.

I had the choice to upgrade to a C7 or keep my C5 and super charge it. I kept the C5, and I don't regret it at all. I personally think the C5 looks better than the C6. It's all personal opinion. If you are going to upgrade, I'd take a C7 over the C6 any day.

C6 and C7's are great cars. I was lucky to have each one and returned to a C5 not because its better but I just had too much tied up in cars sitting in the garage. Two 80K dollar cars that I used only on nice days was awesome but not very smart while I'm prepping for retirement. I still think a wide body C6 is the best looking Vette made but that just my opinion. The C6 is a little better then a C5 and the C7 is a little better then the 6. I think that the Corvette has improved with every new generation and time. Just a note though I think I would only go with a wide body on those generations. Im not crazy about the standard body on either one. But I can tell you this my C5 Z06 will hold its own and fills my corvette needs perfectly. I will either buy a C7 ZR1 or a C8 Z06 when I fully retire in 5 years for sure and sell my C5 then. You would be happy in what ever you do, you still will have a vette.
