I was looking for a c5 convertible..just happened to find a 50th anniversary car
The 50th anniversary came in Champaign it's the only wheel that came on the 50th and they are special wheels they were made in Italy and if you were to buy them from a dealership you're looking at $1,000 a piece
Though I took the OE Champagne wheels and Run Flat tires off in favor of Z06 chrome replicas, I have the original set in boxes stored away. I doubt I will refit them but I still have them.
Those center caps on the AE wheels must be replacements and not OEM's as the standard caps had red colour inlay of the C5 logo ?
It's really not too hard to paint the recessed logo with a shade of red that is very similar to the original. To get 18" thinspokes all around, I bought an extra set of silver thinspokes and painted the 18" wheels with some "Warm Nickel Metallic" I bought from a Corvette vendor, then I painted the red portion of the center caps by hand.
Doesn't take long.
would suggest that you use the wheel decals (for the C5's) that are available through some of the Corvette parts retailers ... sold as a set ... better than painting ... hard to do to look good given the small space ...
